The GGIS (Global Geographic Information System) module is designed as an environmental-technical information system using GIS technologies. It is intended to support operational activities related to the spatial information system, support emergency planning, technological work and all other work ensuring the integrity and safety of the infrastructure under surveillance. It is applicable in the processing of geographic data of linear structures, technological elements of structures and their surroundings. It also includes functionality for recording environmental changes and risk factors of the above structures and their surroundings, including a documentation and archive component.
The GGIS module, in conjunction with other data, enables detailed identification of those parts of the monitored infrastructure that require increased attention in terms of operation or maintenance, or supports active measures carried out in terms of repairs. The GGIS module thus provides one of the most important spatial databases of geographic data within the infrastructure under surveillance. All the processed geographic data form the DB GGIS database, which allows the creation of different user views, complex spatial analyses, thus ensuring the management of the monitored infrastructure.
