The company ELBA faced a critical ransomware attack that encrypted their vital business data, leading to significant operational disruptions and production downtime. Prior to the attack, the management didn’t consider cyber threats a serious concern, leaving them vulnerable with inadequate data protection measures.

The immediate objective was to recover the encrypted data as quickly as possible to minimize operational downtime. The long-term goal was to secure the IT infrastructure, implement preventive solutions, and increase cybersecurity awareness among employees.

Our solution

After a security incident and the encryption of the local infrastructure, there was an urgent need to address the situation:  Taking over IT crisis management and full support related to IT architecture and development. Building the IT systems and user environment in the cloud.

GAMO conducted an in-depth analysis of the IT infrastructure and encrypted files. They implemented backup solutions that allowed for the rapid and safe recovery of all affected data. After the recovery, advanced security measures were introduced, including regular network monitoring, antivirus software, and a robust backup system. These measures ensured the company would be better protected against future attacks and able to respond swiftly in case of another incident.

Before the incident, we never thought this could happen to us. After the attack, we realized how important it is to be prepared and have effective security measures to protect our data.
